As a filmmaker, I consume a countless amount of cinema, interviews, and writings to find new inspiration and enhance my artistic style. Whether it’s a jot on a napkin or a sporadic audio recording, my stories materialize at their climax as I envision my troubled characters who often face struggles from philosophy or the status quo. From that point my brain has to discover their story. Those concepts develop further as I write the screenplay, draw storyboards, and create shot lists. Those seemingly random scribbles are then able to come to life through the lens of my camera that captures what my brain has been envisioning all this time. Finally, those compositions become organized into fluent sequences in the editing room. It is an invigorating experience to continue to tell my original narratives as I establish my unique voice within the incredible world of film.
